Meen Pollichathu is a very traditional Kerala dish where the fish is baked with spices inside a banana leaf. The food cooked in a banana leaf or even any meal had on a banana leaf has a special amazing flavour added to the food. It definitely needs to be experienced.
Kerala cuisine is well known for such dishes and this is one such amazing dish. The fish is so flavoursome and juicy, it will just melt in your mouth.

Ingredients (serves 1-2)
1. Fish (of your choice, used Barramundi here)- 250 gms
2. For marinade: 1/2 tsp Chilli powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, salt
3. For masala:
Onion- 2 medium
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Oil- 2 tsp
Curry leaves- few
Ginger garlic paste – 1 – 2 tbsp
Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Desiccated coconut- 2 tbsp
4. Big banana leaf- 1 half
